Electronic book readers
 
I am thinking of getting one of these for my birthday
and was just wondering if anyone else has one and can give me info pros and cons with them best places to get book from and best reader to get
thanks in advance.
i know you have one MargaretR and thanks for the info:)
where is the best place to get it from etc

As far as I know they are only good for the books that you will have to buy.

Get a netbook and you can read the PDF's and have them for free, and do all sorts of other stuff too.

The one i am looking at supports PDF and MP3 amongst other formats

I have over 80 free ebooks.
I prefer an ebook reader to a notebook for reading them because-
.... a reader can enlarge print at the press of a button
.... I can hold it and turn pages using one hand (can read lying down)
.... readers have screens that are not lit (need an outside light source) = less eye strain
