What do you need it for? If its for insulation you would be better with something like kingspan (trade name) which is a polyurothane foam board, lined with silver foil type material .Its thermal value is far greater than polystyrene but it is more expensive its avalible from greengates just under a different name which i cant remember comes in lots of depths from 25mm up.It can be used for cavity wall insulation in new builds, lofts in between rafters and roof timbers and also under concrete floors / wooden floors.

Re: Polystyrene sheeting

Well its serving two purposes, a water tank sits in a hole that is 1" to big on each side, polystyrene sheet will be put there to secure it a bit as well as insulate it, but for insulation purpose mainly to stop condensation appearing on the sides
