what kind of bird is this?
 

could anyone possibly tell me what kind of bird this is? i took the picture at the back of my house earlier today, its about the same size as a starling with a yellow beak

can only put one picture on for some reason, i'll get the daughter to put the other one on

dad has just got an email back from a bird website and aparently It is a leucistic Starling - it's normal pigmentation is too weak, giving it a washed out appearance.

it's amazing how many different birds my dad gets in the back garden, he gets a lot of white collar doves, all in different colours, all that wildlife and he doesn't need to move from the house to see it

Beat me to it. Any way frozen one, they are Collard Doves, not Colllar Doves, and they are not a species native to this country.
Look at the shape of the beak in pict 1, looks like a starlings beak.
Albino blackbird are seen quite regularly, I've seen quite a number with white feathers around the neck and wing roots.

Yes is was Jaysay . It woke me up one morning last year making a spooky noise . It may have been in distress . I managed to get a few photos , then it disappeared . At first sight I thought it was a vulture .
