Lovely to read Heth (apart from the discharge from hospital). Sounds like your grandma is happy and being well cared for and that after all is all you can ask for. So pleased for all of you:)

Good to hear that your Gran is out of hospital.......though was not an ideal way to discharge....I thought that they still did discharge planning....they did when I was there.

Going with a 'gut feeling' along with what your eyes and your nose tells you is good.......and it looks like it was a good call as your Gran is settled and from what you say, is comfortable and happy.

As for her spending time in her room, well......she has the chance to participate in communal activites if she feels like it......and she may not be fully fit and ready to join in with stuff yet. Give it time.
Thanks for the update. I was wondering how you were all doing.

Thanks Marg, like you said we are giving her time with the activities and not pushing her, she will come out of her shell soon. At home she used to watch the telly when we wernt there so she is just comfy with it.
We will have to see how things go.
I appreciate all your help Marg x

First, or last, doesn't matter, if your instinct says something feels right.

Thanks for the update.

I hope you, your mum, and your grandmother have peace of mind that she's safe, and happy.

:)

Great news that you have got her settled somewhere that meets your approval and hopefully her's in the long run. It's shameful that you were given so little notice about her discharge from hospital, and I would be writing a letter of complaint about that. Hope things work out for her there.
