My personal secretary has now been made redundant after the spelling mistake.

No, I am not trying to score cheap political points, it's only the Tories that do that. I am trying to make a point that someone who runs a Recruitment Business, and can assess the suitability of candidates, has such a poor grasp of English himself. Shouldn't they be setting an example?

At what point did my post mention Politics? It didn't, so the only person trying to score 'cheap political points' is yourself. How very sad.

And of course, the fact that Whittaker just happens to be a Tory councillor has nothing to do with your post. Pull the other one. As for cheap politcal points from myself, I hardly think so, as I don't support either of the main parties.

You've already made a bit of a fool of yourself on this thread...I'd quit while I'm behind if I were you. :rolleyes:

No, Politics had nothing to do with my original reply. It was, as I said, based on his job as a Recruitment Consultant, and asking how he can assess people's suitability for a job with such a poor grasp of written English himself. The fact that he is also a Councillor and Chairman of his Area Council makes the issue worse in my opinion.

And yes, I would criticise any other Councillor, regardless of party, if their posts were as badly written as all his. This poor grasp of grammar, punctuation etc, also extends to his emails replies too.

And this post was aimed at Accysimon. I thought the original post you reffered to was readable and believe me I have seen much worse but some people are dyslexic but still have the guts to come on here and join in

Being dyslexic never really held back Richard Branson's success in the world of business.

He just got on with actually doing things, and probably employed an anally retentive nelly, whose spelling and grammar was equal to that of a robot, to do all the boring things, like writing.
