Eric , If you get a wolf in camp , Does someone shoot it ? Or do you just steer clear of it ?

My only contact with a red squirrel was a stuffed one in the headmaster's office at Western County Junior School, Great Harwood, which I attended between 1961 and 1965.

No ... wolves are shy ... Ministry of the Environment Ontario is attempting to reintroduce wolves into the area in order to maintain the health of the deer population ... the wolves cull the deer naturally, taking the weak and the sick (and probably the stupid;))

They are dangerous animals ... if they decided to move into the city they will kill cats and dogs ... vicious brutes.

theres seems to be this myth that grey squirells are pushing out the red squirells.

this is complete nonsence as its pretty clear that teh grey squirells are obviously the red squirells that have just gotten older ;)

The only place I have seen red squirrels is on the Isle of Wight.

Them grey squirrels can be a real pest there's one that robs Joan's bird feeder every day and she lives back to a main road, they're cheeky little blitters:D

Who was Taimi Boswell?

Another search...

If you Google search her name, Taimi Boswell, she's called the 'master Romany story teller'. Especially this tale, The Red Squirrel.

Has anyone else ever heard of her, or her tales?

She was a local politician, well versed in telling fairy tales.
