Well Done Shaz......I'm really made up for you.
When you contact the Matron, ask if you can go and visit the ward you will be working on...just to get a 'feel' of things......ask questions of he staff there(I know when I interviewed people, if they asked for a pre-employment visit to get the 'lie of the land' it always made me feel like they were interested...and not just in the pay packet..but the work too) If you only spend half an hour familiarising yourself with the layout of the ward, it will be time well spent.

I was thinking the same thing earlier Marg, I need to get to know where it is anyway, was going to go up tomorrow and see how long it took me to get to the ward from the bus stop, I will ring matron in the morning and ask about going up

i rang for a start time as they didn't put one in the email, i also asked about my uniform, was told to ring someone else, then the someone else told me to ring the ward back, its a good job i asked because i can't start without one, nothing has been mentioned about my hospital I.D either, maybe they need reminding about everything up there, anyway, i start at 7.30 Monday morning :D and i'm off to attempt to track a uniform or 3 down, up at the hospital....good job i'm on top of it 'innit'
