Nope, tried very hard, well, thought about it for a milli second can't remember.
More importantly I probably won't remember where I was when I died, 50 years later. |

I was at a school fair at St Mary's Clayton, befor going for a pint in the Load of Mischief, didn't take long to get around, no mobiles then, we didn't even have a phone, just bush telegraph.

I was nine years old at the time and can remember being at my grandma's with my parents. I can remember them saying he was only young. I didn't really take it in who he was.

It was his wife who taught us.
She was the games mistress - I hated sport of every description. I was particularly bad at netball. I told her I would rather do double maths than play sport. I got my wish. I was sent straightaway to see Milton Suthers - from then on when my class did sports, I did maths. I was still pretty useless even with extra lessons. |
