Re: How safe is our info?
if you have a facebook account and have filled in your details truthfully you have already handed your information over to every global databse going
the same goes for google mail etc children are filling in tehir details because you have to have a google account to use an android tablet so they are on databases before they have even left school although tehir date of birth may be inaccurate because of the tick you are 18 or over box i set my kids accounts up with bogus information so as an example google haqve the details of my pet ferret and a dead dog |
Re: How safe is our info?
No, I have neither of those things...nor do I intend to have.
I know that our names are on databases...otherwisw why would I have people ringing me and telling me that because of my age I am entitled to Government help with insulation/boiler etc. Persoanlly, I think that much of this information is from the electoral roll which councils have been peddling to make a bit of extra dosh. It is only the last couple of years I realised there was a box to tick to prevent them from selling my details. This database is different.....although I am relatively fit and healthy for a person who is long in the tooth(I prefer middle aged - but I would have to live to be134 to be called that ) I do not want my medical details to be available to anyone other than those who need them to make me better if I should become ill. |

Well, I think I am right in saying that most prescriptions now are printed off rather than written so, much less likely to lead to problems with handwriting.

Re: How safe is our info?
I think the bigger risk comes from people hacking the system and then passing it to all and sundry. Hacking into systems harder to crack than the NHS database has occurred, and still does, so any information we put onto computers is liable to be shared, even stuff we keep on our own systems can be accessed by a determined hacker, and most people don't know it has occurred, botnet systems being just one way we are duped.

It is fraud if your alias excepts it and fills the paperwork in though ;) |
