No-one responded to this 8 years ago.

This hall is now converted into flats, so anyone considering moving in might well appreciate an answer to that 8yr old question.

That building was erected circa 1845, it was Christ Church School.
It stood empty many years ago, until it was bought by a local builder and converted into flats.
Trouble was in it early years as flats, the residents didn't know the proper post code, and the residents of Rough Lee Rd were everlasting getting their mail thro their letter boxes, even telling the postman made no difference.

I remember going there many years ago, there were popular stage productions there, dancing, jumble sales - youth clubs. The Scots used to meet there. In fact, many activities on behalf of the Church took place in the Hall, nowt spooky about it at all.

I was hoping a moderator could take my post no.4 off and that I could start my typing again, but ... not to worry. I think something spooky happened when I was typing, words appeared that I didnt know I had typed. Oh well.
So, you mention Richard Harwood? DICK HARWOOD you mean. Van driver at Mastabar AND played the organ at my wedding at Christ Church. Fancy that!
