Broadbent

Does anybody know the family of a Nurse Broadbent, probably prcaticisng as a private nurse in the 1930's. Living in Accrington in the 1960's, was a widow at that time.

May have lived in Willows Lane or Cobden St, Accrington. Where is/was Cobden Street?

May have family in Blackpool area.

Thanks,

Roger

Thanks for your quick reply Cashman, non the wiser though! Mary's Music seems quite a famous place judging by some of the posts on here! What streets round there still exist and when did Cobden St. disappear?

Thanks,

Roger

can't remember soz, the "Whalley Rd Congregation Church still remained after streets were demolished, but thats gone now. my guess would be yes -around the time they demolished the Odean Cinema/ Pickwick. was 3/4 little streets went together.

There's two unamed streets to the west of Peel Street, one appears to be an alley and the other, further west, a dead-end.

The Microsoft map doesn't show the first one at all!
