I lived in Nuneaton from 1968 till 1992. now live in Hythe in Kent. Who are your friends in Nuneaton and what part of Nuneaton do they live. Never know I might remember them.
How long since you seen Josie. Yes I do remember your brothers, Brian used to knock about with them. I am now 65.

It's years since I saw Jose. I think we would be about 15. I came to your house for tea one Sunday, and your dad gave us some money for sweets. We bought fags with it!! My friends in Nuneaton are Ste and Helen bibby. They live at Lagan close, cv109tf. I am 63 now. Ancient and decrepit. Lol.

My brother in law was in the first intake at St Christophers , Alan Dodd.

pifco 14-02-2016 17:26

Re: anyone from St christophers circa 60s

Yes I remember Alan Dodd he was in our year but I'm not sure which class he was in. I only saw him occasionally after leaving school, I think that he went on to be a baker.

Re: anyone from St christophers circa 60s

I think that I can name those on the photo I posted with the exception of the lad on the back row third from left. If I remember correctly he was only at the school for 1 or 2 terms and I cannot remember anything about him. Can anybody help in identifying him?

Yes it was tragic about Ken, he hadn't been left school long when he was killed at the brick works.

Another one we lost a few years ago. Granville Larder.

Re: anyone from St christophers circa 60s

Yes I was talking to Granville not long before he died and I let him have a copy of the photo which he said brought back memories of people he had forgot all about.

Mildred & Joan and their Brother John all lived at approx. 20 Belfield Road. Their Parents purchased my Grandfather's house (no. 1 Belfield Road). I myself lived at number 5, just accross the road from them.
Incidentally John was a former Mayer of Accrington.
John and myself are the same age with Mildred some 3 - years younger and Joan another couple of years younger.

Cheers

Philip Kenyon
