St oswalds primary early 70's

Does anyone remember the teachers at St Oswalds in the early 70's or what happened to them? Miss Birch - nasty piece of work!...Mrs Lynch? (a lovely lady who played the piano!), Mrs Bartholomew, Mrs Priestley and does anyone remember an Irish teacher called Mr O'Toole who had a local radio station for the school - my sister and i used to sing on it! He was cool!

Yes, I remember them and another teacher named Miss Bone. I was there in 1968 only for one year until St. Oswalds moved to the new school. I cant think what the headmaster was called at the time but he was a nice man.

Hi. You would have been there before me. I joined the school in around 1970/71 at the new site. Mr Holden was headmaster when i was there - very strict.

Miss Birch became Mrs Ormerod after retirement and is now dead .

Mrs Lynch has also died .

Mrs Bartholomew is still around , retired of course .

Mrs Priestley lived in the bottom house on Exchange St . When she was widowed she moved and I haven't seen her for a while .
