Cheers for your info folks, What about Jimmy Whittle does any one remember him. He was a squaddie for a while I believe. May have changed his name to Pickering but not sure. Speaking of old friends does anybody remember Tez Beardsmore. Jet black hair like a ted. He married a lass from Royds street about 1966. Think he had twins. Called them Paul and Paula after the song. Was best man at his wedding but havent seen or heard from him since.

Yes you are right, he was called Beardsworth., I knew he had a younger sister but didn't know any of his family apart from his dad. Since this post I have found out that he has passed away. I lived on Royds st 1966 to 1968. Number 76.

Dont think so Dave, he married a lass from of Royds street area. Cant think of her name but she worked at Higham Mill with Maureen Wallace, Irene Southworth, to name just a couple. They married March 67. Then had twins. Paul and Paula after the song. Last saw him in 1968. He was a bit of a rebel but he was always ok with me.
