Surname Stuttard

Think back to 1958-59 in a 4 house row on Broadfield. Did a Mr and Mrs Stuttard live there. Did they have two daughters, Betty and I think Jane,
Betty died in hospital , very young about 18 years old. I think 1959, 1960. Betty had a child who would be now 54 55.
Does anyone know of a relative alive .

I have a line of Stuttard's in my family tree from my Grandad's side, but they were from the Nelson branch :)

Stuttard's had a garage at the junction of Cross St & Warner St. There was also a Stuttard in the Accrington Pals.

I research all Stuttards everywhere and eveywhen.

The family I think you are looking for is Herbert Stuttard (1913-1968) and Gladys nee Hunt b 1916 who married in Coventry in Nov 1940. They had 2 daughters - Betty A (1941-1965) and Janet Elsie b 1943. I am not aware of Betty having a child. Janet married Kenneth Michael Ellard in Accrington St James in 1965 and had 3 daughters between 1966 and 1971.

That is all I know of this family.
