McMynn Family
I have some photos which come from the album of an Accrington family called McMynn. The head of the house was a director at the British Saccarin Company of Baxenden. c1917
Anyone connected with the family ? |
Re: McMynn Family
If they've got wads of money to wave about & a good looking daughter going spare, I'd volunteer! :)

Re: McMynn Family
The name rings a bell but I thought spelt McMinn. My initial thoughts were AGS but having looked at the pupil lists around my year can't find anybody. Now wonder if it was in Clayton, possibly All Saints School sometime in the 60's. Have a hunch the lad I'm thinking of's dad was a local builder/ painter/ plasterer something of that sort.

Re: McMynn Family
In my book 'Accrington Acclaimed', I used some photos of this well-to-do family in their garden. I cannot find my copy at present. From memory, they lived in Manchester Rd, up Bash. Something tells me that they had Manchester connections.

Re: McMynn Family
In the late 1950s I lived in Queens Road and there was a McMyn at no. 4 Queens Road. He was the retired chief cashier at the Midland Bank. In the 70s I held exactly the same position!
