Christmas shopping

Anyone else started their Christmas shopping? I've now bought severel specific item that my daughters been asking for. Early I know but last year I was rushing round like a lunatic all the shops had sold out, didn't want to go through that again, saying that, knowing me I'll leave it now till the week before then rush round like a looney again!

The thought of Christmas I find v depressing, I refuse to do anything towards it until at least December, then that's too early as well. Bah humbug!

Re: Christmas shopping

No, Christmas Eve is quite soon enough for me to start Christmas shopping!

Any idea what the must have present is going to be this year yet?

You know the one there will be a shortage of, and that some parents will drive hundreds of miles to try and secure for the brainwashed little darlings, and in some cases scrap for. One year it was Teletubbies, and then it was Thunder Bird's Tracey Island.

Ah, the power of marketing.;)

Re: Christmas shopping

not even started looking, its easier & lazier to put money in a personalized christmas card.............. i think anyway. cos thats what i started doing a couple of years ago.

Mik Dickinson 24-10-2005 21:36

Re: Christmas shopping

Believe it or not i started in August.A pressie here and one there it all adds up for the day in question and actually it works out a lot cheaper in the long run as i have seen that the same things have gone up a few quid as December closes.

Sara 25-10-2005 08:26

Re: Christmas shopping

Meant to be going Christmas shopping with my daughter Wednesday afternoon. Hope to get everyone apart from the kids. Get them around the end of November, because no doubt they will change their mind if i get there's any sooner.

Re: Christmas shopping

Well i have finally finished my christmas shopping today, even wrapped em. Just a few bits to pick up along the way now. I find christmas is far too stressful and now i can say i will have plenty of time to relax and not run round like a headless chicken.

Mik Dickinson 02-11-2005 19:23

Re: Christmas shopping

Ordered mine on e bay yesterday and they should be here by the end of the week.Just have to get 2 more pressies from play.com and that it.Got 5 aluminium scooters for € 73 thats only 48 quid for 5 pressies.Another 2 to get on Play.com and that is that.
