I always thought that this old proverb meant....if you see someone who is disreputable....and off their guard, it is a good time to get your own back.

That is my slant on the saying.

Not a saying I can remember? But I would advise that if the weasel sees the snake, p---ssing in it’s ear is the last thing you’ll be doing…..:)
