Sorry Willow, I think quality of life is also a reason. The population of Hyndburn hasn't really changed that much since the 60's, so one has to assume that for every 'new' face there is one less 'old' face.

Perhaps Bazf might like to answer this for us, sorry mate but you do seem give the opinion that you know what's best for us even though you no longer live here.

So you have to live there to have an opinion? My family still lives there, my dad has to go in to Accy shopping and tells me how it is a ****hole and full of kids and unemployed youngsters with to much time on there hands. My sister had her house broken into in Ossy, they knew who did it, the gypos from westend, the cops did nothing. My nephew got attacked coming out of a chippy because he wounldn't give a bunch of chavs his chips. I vist every couple of years, it hasn't changed much, only going more downhill. It is still full of the I want brigade and the I'm entitled mob who won't get off their arses and do anything. When I lived there it was the same, only with better shops and a market.
As I only see Stanley on tele or listen on the radio I should'nt have an opinion of them either? It will end up with a blinkered elite click of Accringtonians all having the same opinions. Some times someone outside looking in is the best answer.

I'm not in, or have never been to Iraq, doesn't mean to say I don't have a valid opinion about it though.

Get off your high horse the question was for Bazf which he has answered very well and he obviously has full knowledge of what it's like in accy. But the bottom line is no matter how you word it you can stick multiculturism......... and give the 11k to charity.

I wasn't on my high horse, just pointing out after your criticism of Bazf, that you don't have to live somewhere to have a valid opinion about it. Or didn't they teach you that in Muslim school?:D

Any way, I thought you'd come out as anti multi-racialist, rather than anti multicultural?

Or are you hiding your beliefs behind a fairly meaningless phrase again?

I had to use the term multiculturism as it's mentioned in the thread title. I never needed to come out as I've always been a racist towards muslims.

I was disappointed that someone pulled the plug on the thread going a few days ago "Not so great Britain", some good points where raised including a post on the Queen but censorship is alive and kicking on accyweb.

I would have thought that this thread was deleted because the likes of "Chopper" were using it as a platform for racist abuse.

Also, how can anyone be "a racist towards muslims"? I've always thought that Islam was a religion, not a race.

Surely not, that is disgraceful but of course it's only racist abuse if that's how you read it.;)

Ok point of order, I have a problem with muslims not blacks or whatever colour.
