Is it just me...
... or is the Arndale Centre getting really irritating with all the new little stalls with people who constantly trying to grab your attention "scuse me can i ask you", "scuse me have you got sky", "scuse me can i ask you a couple of quick questions".
I don't want to seem rude, but when I'm home I go into town pretty much every day and am getting really fed up. I understand its their job, but whose idea was it to put them all there! You cant avoid them, they are everywhere! There are at least 4 stalls now and there is no getting past them! GGGrrrrrrrr!!!! |

Easy, say NO, if they ask again say "do you want to come to my stall, its just round the corner, I sell hearing aids" they won't ask again

I absolutely agree with you-im fine with it all until i walk past once and decline their offers of pedicures or whatever they are doing or a try of the cheap nasty toys and then
they ask me two minutes later when i walk out of a shop.plus i would rather it was like a German market at this time of year-a nice bratwurst and some gluvine like in Manchester.....yum! |

There was one insurance guy who wouldn't take no for an answer the other week. I was in a hurry. I was heading to a shop. I'd told him no already but then he pounced on me again when I came out of the shop. It is turning shopping in the Arndale into an ordeal and I for one will be avoiding going in there as much as possible now.

LOL! I'm with flashy on this one :D I've found politeness is wasted on these people, a good old fashioned insult is all they seem to understand.

Funny thing is I don't mind it so much when I'm on holiday and you get "Vereee cheeeep bargain Engleesh laydeee" but in our own Arndale it gets a bit much.
