I worked for an English company when I was living in Glasgow, and it took all my special powers to convince them that in Scotland both the first and the second are a Bank Holiday, and if we couldn't have them both off we would cover ourselves in woad, and meet them at Hadrian's Wall for a bit of a skirmish.

All the Scottish staff got two days off.:D

And to this day those Scottish workers are forever greatful. :D
