It just goes to show how hypocritical these new Judges guidelines are. Two paedeofiles let off custodial sentences, but two journalist sent down for mobile phone hacking makes no sense to me, oh! wait a second, they were royal phones,now that is serious, perish the thought that the general public should get to know what antics the future ruler/s get up to. After all there only spending our brass.

The judge who let the peodeofile go free today is a disgrace. He told the court he thought the man to be a danger to the public but his hands were tied by goverment policy... rubbish.. if he thinks this man is a danger then he should have banged him up, and he should be banged up with him!

This particular case is just a stupid Judge not doing what he is paid for (very well paid) if he thinks the this man is a danger but still sets him free and blames it on a policy that does not exist.. then the judge himself is just as dangerous as the criminals, I think he is playing abit of politics at the publics expense.. the Judge should be sacked and the peado jailed.

Without wanting to get to near the 'bone', them Judges have been known to get up to some funny antics in the past. What was that film called? Got it Madam Cyn.

Hang on! there are no guidelines to say that anyone deserving of a prison sentence should not be sent to prison, the judge in question has taken upon himself to either pass the buck or has some political interests. .. the fact is that this Judge is a disgrace, if he feels the man is a danger.. then why has he set him free?.. No one has sent him letters or given him any instructions to do otherwise.. he should be sacked.

Youv'e got a valid point there Mancie, But have you ever heard of a Judge being sacked, I seem to remember not long ago there was one caught downloading mucky stuff, he may have been retired, in any case he would have been alowed to retire like they do with semi-bent cops. The only Sack a Judge/Lord gets is THE WOOLSACK.

From what I can gather the judges themselves are up in arms about the way they've had to interpret a letter sent out from the Home Office.

They all use the same lame excuse when they get caught, I was only doing it for research purposes, or I was trying to catch one at it, they never put their hand up and say "I cant help it im a nonce and a child molester", they should all be sent down automatically for child porn, the cons know how to deal with them, and the screws get double vision.
