erm when did they start charging an entry fee??

my dad went today with his mrs and they tried to charge them £3.50 each to get in.....unless he lived in Burnley, and if you live in Burnley its free entry

WTF??

Re: Towneley Hall

thats exactly what my dad said to the woman who tried to charge him.....its pathetic, it was free when i went last year, cant even get on the website....this is all i can see

Towneley Hall is open from 12-5pm Saturday to Thursday, closed Fridays and is free to Burnley residents. The park is open until dusk everyday.

Re: Towneley Hall

They'd have to pay me to go to Burnley never mind me paying to get in somewhere :)

Residents of Florida get preferential treatment for prices to Disney parks, they don't have a problem attracting tourists:)

Re: Towneley Hall

I didn't realise you had to pay, do they ask for ID or can you pretend you live in Burnley.

panther 07-05-2007 19:33

Re: Towneley Hall

they ask for utility bill or proof

flashy 07-05-2007 19:33

Re: Towneley Hall

they ask you for your postcode (well they did with my dad) so everyone be warned if your thinking about going

Re: Towneley Hall

Seriously now, is this right, is it not discrimination? or have they just worded it right by saying "live", what if they said you must have been born in Burnley - that would start an all new ball game wouldn't it

Re: Towneley Hall

Well just think of a Burnley postcode, as for asking for utility bill, how many people go to the park with one of those.
