Hi there the people of accyweb! I was wondering as a forum if we should start up a radio for accyweb forum members. Where there can be a radio station that we can listen to. I know where we could get a free radio and can easily set up right now but the question is:

Would people be intrested in helping or actually broadcasting or listening ?:D

I think its a great idea. :)

Think you would need somthing a bit bigger than Accy Web for a dedicated radio station.

Would there also not be costs involved??

No it would be an online radio for people to listen to mate. And no i can do one for free. Its would be on the internet so you could listen while roaming accyweb. You can play any music you want on the radio and use a mic to talk its quite good!:)

Ah I see.

I listen to Radio 1 sometimes @ Work via Interweb.

Suppose if your into it, put the link on here and have a go yourself, people might show a interest once they see what its about.

Yeh they should know , like i know everyone listens maybe to there windows media player or listen to a radio station online however accyweb could do one and could do a timetable of people from accyweb of when the would want to dj.

Its easy you just do it on winamp. If anyone would like to do it please put your name down here!:)

Right accymel , you know when you want to say listen to radio1 online at bbc.co.uk/radio1 and you listen to it online on your computer.

Well i was thinking accyweb could do there own online radio station so people can listen to it. But people from accyweb could help and dj. Say you could have an hour accymel and play your favourite music and talk like a real dj on the radio.

So people could search this forum and could listen to accyweb fm for eg:)

Perhaps we could have special phone in slots.

Rindy could do the agony aunt spot
Spinner could do the politics show
Accymel would do gardening.
Doug could do farming

There you go, thats half a days schedule :D

There ya go! Hehe , no would be good different members could have different times. Like the 9pm accymel show :) etc etc to listen to on the internet and its so easy to set up and run! And its easier that you can use the programme winamp like windows media player a bit to do it:)

How come everyone else in the list got a 'could' & i seemingly have been nominated by a 'Would':confused:

I dont do gardening other than to grow wild grass & brambles oh & have a big bush!!! as dont i do ironing either, neither are my specialist subjects hehehehe:D

Thankyou Mallard it would! It could be linked on the site or anything or it could become a accyweb radio site i could make. However when anyone wants to listen to music our very own members will be able to broadcast and listen to it! :) Accyweb fm or something :)

Heya again accyweb. I finally did a radio station called accyweb fm for online radio listeners:) If you look at this list then go down to the accyweb radio then just click listen it just works like that! :) Hope you will all listen to some great music and if you want a track playing just request by the button.jetCast

Sounds like a pretty cool idea to me f.c.! I have no idea how any of it works and have never listened to radio online. My kids always have music going but I think that is from buying stuff for their i-pod things.

At first I was figuring no signal over to here but being online would be no problem I guess eh? So, show me where and when to click and I'm in.

PS - Okay, got the music to work by clicking that jetcast. However, IMO, music was wicked crap. Back to enjoying the silence until you get something going fc.

Sorry at the minute its down :( I got a message from mick , i didnt ask his permission to use the accrington web name or logo. So.. However i could call it something else and ill egt it straight back up this afternoon? Eh?:)

Sure eric.However like i said i need to call the radio something else because i think micks a little angry at using then name without asking however im just waiting for an email back from the radio thing. However this would be so easy to do if we just paid for it however it doesnt matter.

Cant do a dj`ing list until tomorrow , however got a tempary one jetCast
Go to genre and click on alternative and you will see accrington :)

Dag f.c., just came on late to the party. Was getting myself all excited about your proposal. Then wasted time looking for the station. Sorry for the difficulties you run into. I should have run through all the threads before searching! Good Luck with it!
