Looks like it wasn't a very democratic way of gathering resident's thoughts on the matter.

I'm going to do a poll, to see how many of us received a form.

Seems as if Gayle doesn't think she got one. Maybe as with the calendar Garinda is being favoured:p

It wouldn't suprise me if mine was hand delivered by Peter himself.

Trying to think back, it did have a whiff of Poison by Christian Dior about it.

You should be so lucky Rindi, and if it was the poison would have been cyanide:D

Re: Hyndburn to be axed.

According to this weekend's Observer this daft waste of money has finally been shelved, because of the public's strong opposition to the name change of the borough.

Good.:)

I heard an alternative 'Rindiville' was being proposed.

Since the proposed name change was really just to massage someone's political ego, your suggestion is equally stupid, and would be a total waste of council tax payer's money, so I'd be vociferously leading the opposition against this too.;)

Doubt it Bernie. Would have to crop up again to 'decide' whether to go ahead, and that decision would take time and money.

Can only imagine will be brought out of the cupboard to blow the dust off when Hyndburn are more liquid and in a state of Utopia , and councilors twiddling their thumbs wondering what they can spend their huge bank balance on .. yes, pipe dream.
