I always wanted a water feature!

But not like this!

My little front garden seems to have turned into a pond this morning. :( I guess it just reached the point where no more water could drain away.

My lawn looks like a swamp this morning too, I suppose we should be grateful were not in South Yorkshire.

Re: I always wanted a water feature!

That was what I said to Mimi. At least it's only the garden and not the house.

No, the same person that nicked my tree and my bush. I have a suspicion who that could have been now and I really do hope I'm wrong because it's ridiculous that a grown adult could resort to something so petty and vindictive.

I hope he's reading this because I'd like him to know just how pathetic he is making himself look. (Apologises to self for thread wander and to mods for slightly peeved post.)

Oh Willow, I know what you and Busman are up to . . . Instead of my bear pit with pointy sticks, you have gone with the moat. So very English eh? Now, will you be puttting in alligators or piranhas!:p:p:p

Oh how I wish we could get some rain over here. We are SO dry.

Brian

Re: I always wanted a water feature!

:D piranhas sounds good. Busman likes them. Unfortunately though the pond seems to be draining again now so we'll have to scrap that idea.

BTW I hasten to add that the phantom foliage filcher is not an AccyWebber but rather someone I know to be reading this forum and who just needs to grow up a bit.

I went up to see my Ma this morning.....in that deluge........I was surfing down the torrents that were coming down Riley's hill. The water ran in my Crocs at the back and out again through the holes in the front.

WillowTheWhisp 03-07-2007 17:32

Re: I always wanted a water feature!

I said to Mimi this afternoon that my Crocs are waterproof and she said "Whaddya mean, there's 'oles in em!?" :D but I meant that whatever they are made of is water tolerant and doesn't get damaged by things like you just described Margaret.

See my little lady gardener has been today, bless, well, suppose she is losing lots of earnings with this weather.

Not too bad really .. but can tell the grass has been dragged a little.

Still not looking too good yet on the 10 day forecast. :(

I'd love a water feature too Willow (not the natural ones though) .. garden too small and installation could be difficult with electricity, etc., (I think). Lovely on a 'hot Summer's Day'. aren't they? Listening to the gently tinkling, not this eternal pounding on the flags.
