It is quite nice, they have done the area round the lodge up as well. Bet the penthouse has a nice view:cool:

Well don't say it then, there must be someone daft enough to buy them, they haven't built them on the off chance that they'll sell!!!;)

I would imagine this is what happened here.

Are HBC & Barnfield Construction not the developers, see the pic below another Barnfield Development, there is a big sign adjacent "To purchase or to rent"

I can't see how they can have already been sold if they are being listed with prices and offers invited for the two on the top floor.

Which "water" do these things "front" on ... the canal? Seems like a hell of a lot of money. Tells you a lot about the intelligence of the nouveau riche, if they would pay that kind of money for an apartment.

That's it!!!! It's a puddle. Had a quick word with a real estate friend of mine and for somewhere between 200 and 220 thousand dollars you can get a condo at Harborfront Place, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a balcony etc, overlooking Lake Ontario (not a puddle) with a view of Fort Henry (a World Heritage site) and a few of the Thousand Islands, including Wolfe Island (named after General Wolfe), the largest of the Thousand Islands. My poor hovel of a house, with three bedrooms, a finished basement, large yard with three beautiful maple trees, in a quiet area close to the lake and the shops (and the pubs) cost me an exhorbitant $150,000. I do get the feeling that those puddlefront apartments are more than a little overpriced.

I don't know the exact figure, but the average cost of a terraced house in Hyndurn is now over £100,000.

So with the all the building guarantees that these apartments come with, meaning they'll be maintenance free for at least ten years, plus all the extras, such as white goods etc, the price isn't really that exorbitant.

Uk property prices are exhorbitant because we are an overcrowded country. which makes land prices high before even a brick is laid
