I think our MP's a bit mad.....
 

.....actually I think he's possibly one of the sanest MP's in the country but he is displaying one slightly concerning sign of insanity.

He's agreed to walk all the way across Nicaragua from its west coast to the east coast, about 150 miles in hot and humid conditions - how mad is that?

I have to say though that it's all for an incredibly good reason - so not really too mad! The money raised is going 75% to the British Heart Foundation (heart disease is one of the biggest causes of death in our area) and 25% to the Peace and Hope Trust (a charity that works with the most impoverished people in one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere). It is easy to give online and leave a message at www.justgiving.com/gregpopemp or send your donations to the Labour office on Abbey St in Accrington.

Always liked the bloke, he came into secondary school a few times around the time of the start of the war in Iraq and always seemed honest and open to what we all thought.

There is a rumor that the brewery is to give a % of its profits to charity so PB decided to do his bit by visiting the pub and increasing the brewery profits. :eek::p:D
