Can someone please tell these idiots that is is only FICTION. They will be asking the question next wether it is safe to send your goats across bridges in case a troll jumps out and eats them.

The thing that annoys me the most as a big Harry Potter fan is that he has told me the ending of the book. When the new book came out i re read the 6th book so i have just got round to reading the last book. So now thanks to this man i know that Harry Potter dies. Well gutted and very annoyed

I haven't read the last book or the article in the observer, so thanks, Clair Cal, for giving the ending away.

As for the Rev Kev, what can I say that hasn't already been said by members more eloquent than I? Well, haven't we heard it all before? Bigotry, even at second hand, is still bigotry. But, then, bigots, generally speaking, are not renowned for the originality of their thinking. I am astonished that anyone with even a modicum of sense would give the poisonous rantings of this clown any credence whatsoever. Which would seem to suggest that the people who staff our local organ lack any sense whatsoever; I am sure that this revelation comes as no surprise to anyone.

I think we should all send back our copies of The Observer to the editor along with a terse note suggesting that more reports from the same source will result in a fall in sales. That should "stop his tap"!

Don't think we can blame The Observer for publishing this A-B .. bet they laughed themselves senseless whilst writing it ! Can't print all sensible thoughts all the time, wouldn't be newsworthy and rather boring.

You can bet on some juicy letters to the Editor next week though and, to be fair, they will print them.

My daughters have been on a youth camp with our church (just a weekendy thing, went Friday night.) Emzie took a 'pillow' as well as her sleeping bag. The pillow is in fact a cushion with some witchy wizardy stuff on it. I have not had any messages from the leaders about the dangers of her dabbling in the occult by going to sleep with her head on such a terrible pillow.

The dangers of evil are all very real. I believe that Satan is real and than anyone who does worship Satan and dabbles in the dangerous stuff could easily get out of their depth in something they don't understand - but that's a million miles away from Harry Potter and a darn good moral yarn.

Just been watching an old Simpson episode in which Flanders says Harry died went to hell. He then burnt the book. Wonder if Rev Logan was the basis of Flanders? :)

He's the same man of God who said many times in the press in the eighties, that AIDS was God's punishment for the sin of homosexuality. Although one presumes he meant male homosexuals, as lesbians were one of the least unaffected group of people from the disease.
