beware of clowns -serious thread
hi i feel i should pass on info i have recieved this week and maybe someone can confirm the info
i am quite sure it is not some kind of urban legend but it hasnt been in the news from what i know the info comes from a girl i work with, and the event happened to an aquaintance in Darwen/blackburn area it is possible it hasnt been in the news though fears of causing hysteria so if you easily panic or feel you are due for a fit of hysteria then please(seriously) dont read. a girl was babysitting for a young child who wouldnt settle. After some time of trying everything to settle her she reluctantly rang the child's mum. Mum went through everything and the child was not ill. so the babysitter suggested it may be something to be with the lifesize clown in the babies bedroom, bewildered the mother said i dont know what you talking about we dont have a clown in her bedroom... reality dawned on her and she screamed at the girl to get her baby get out and phone the police the police came and arrested a man dressed in a clown suit who was still present in the house at the time of arrest. he had got in through the child's window like i said i havent found it in the news so far it would have happened last week-ish and my colleague is waiting for further details. there is no punchline- it actually gave me goosebumps, she is not the kind of person say such a thing for a windup. anybody heard of this? |

Re: beware of clowns -serious thread
I heard the same story from my son recently - only difference was that it happened in America. Its an urban myth - sounds like it's doing the rounds at school & beyond!

Awww, the clown was probably only there to give the little kiddie a comic makeover.
