And here endeth another lesson on protocol from the loony left.

I can't remember a Labour MP apologising for anything.

Daily Mirror........good news sheet?

He did wrong and said sorry..........if he get's done fine.

Soap boxes are freely available at speakers corner.

I quite like Cameron. I think the Tories are so bereft of quality David got the top job because the previous 6 had to be given their P45 before even getting their 'foot to the peddle', pardon the pun.

Hilarious story. "Can't even point his bike in the right direction" said the Mirror. Caption writers and sub-eds can be very funny and very cruel I have to say.

Just done 3 different searches starting with labour apolog (y, ise, ies) and there are hundreds, I suspect the same if you search the same for the other parties, the unfortunate things are, they only apologise when they are caught, and they probably dont actually mean they are sorry for the offence, but for being caught! Oh well its only politics!

This brings me back to one headline:

"Madam you are ugly"

Winston Churchill was once accused of being drunk in parliament.

Dame Edith Sommerskill said to then then Prime Minister "Sir you are drunk"

Winston Churchill replied "Madam you are ugly...but I will be sober in the morning"

I wasn't thinking politics. My mind always goes to Graham Taylor...

The Sun - Swedes 2 Turnips 1
The Sun - Spanish onion
Mirror/Sun NORSE MANURE" and "OSLO RANS
YANKS 2 PLANKS 0

There should be thread on funny captions and a vote on the top 10...

'Can't even point his bike in the right direction' should definitely be in there.

I think Cameron needs to realise that the Highway Code is there for a reason, the safety of all road users. I’m not casting stones, my driving probably isn’t all that great, but a bloke in his position…. He should know he is being watched constantly.

As a News item, it’s silly. Do the Mirror actually employ a reporting team to follow Cameron on his push iron, sad gits. I say a team as I assume it wasn’t the driver taking the footage on his mobile

This was an amusing story and there can be no defense of breaking traffic laws. Full Stop.

To his credit, Cameron apologised, took responsibility and - I know this will come as a shock to most Labour minded individuals, didnt try to spin it into anything that it wasnt. There were no excuses made, no special treatment, nothing. He didnt even ask what it was a mirror reporter (who was also breaking the law) was doing following him in the first place. Im sure a Labour paper wouldn't really try and hunt a story down in a character assassination attempt and this was just pure luck that the reporter was just doing the same route Mr Cameron was doing at the same time. Thinking about it, if the best a Labour paper can do to pick apart opposition policy is to analyse the Leader's bike ride, they really must be scraping the bottom of the barrel!

I saw Mr Cameron's acknowledgment to the Prime Minister during Prime Ministers Questions about the Dali Lama - nice to see a true statesman crossing the isle and recognising a good decision to meet the Dali Lama. Its a shame that the Prime Minister is so locked into self defense that he wasnt enough of a statesman to handle the complement correctly rather than firing back a cheap insult.

Quite right MikeSz Prime Minister he might be Statesman thats is another question, statesmen don't dither or chew their finger nails, so not much chance for Gorden them, is there. Oh and by the way never seen him riding a bike either:D

How many politicians do you see riding bikes around the streets of London? Least he was making a damn good effort, because there is no chance in hell that I'd get on a bike and ride on ANY road for fear of being knocked down dead. Good on him for at least advocating a healthy lifestyle if not a green image. Can you imagine carrying him attempting to carry all his paper work and such on his bike?

Better he lie about going through a red light than lying about what our taxes are being spent on. You still have Labour to blame for that little problem no matter how many one way streets DC bikes up the wrong way.
