Conservative leader David Cameron has apologised after being photographed ignoring red lights and cycling the wrong way up a one-way street.

I know it is important to obey traffic laws - but I have obviously made mistakes on this occasion and I am sorry," Mr Cameron said in a statement.

The Mirror followed Mr Cameron on three Wednesdays as he cycled to the Houses of Parliament from his Notting Hill home.
The newspaper featured Mr Cameron cycling the wrong way up a one-way street in Dawson Place, going through a red light in Great George Street, driving the wrong way around a bollard in the Mall and breaching a red light at the Houses of Parliament.


A damaging blow to his green image was when it emerged he had biked to work - while a car followed behind carrying his clothes and documents.

well its all fine n dandy apologising for breaking the "LAW" 4 times, i think the plank should have an ASBO. or summat, for it is No Example to set from a potential leader of our country. i think Cyfr should show the video on his new site.:D i also think he was only apologising for getting "CAUGHT":rolleyes:

Breaking so many of our laws, he should probably be wearing a hoody, instead of telling us to hug one.

Just watched the video. The person filming is also doing all the things Cameron is.

The amount of times I have crossed a road at a red pedestrian light because there has been no cars around so its safe to cross.

I'm not saying he's right. He broke the law, it's wrong and he shouldn't have.

exactly mr perfect i aint i have also broke road traffic laws, the differance being if i am caught i expect to pay the piper, dont think cameron does,or will.:rolleyes:

He never did give a straight answer, when asked by reporters if he's ever done them, when he was part of that elitist group of toffs at Oxford, the Bullingdon Club, of whom many of it's members have since admitted to smoking/snorting/shooting up.

I was thinking more of the indiscriminate lining of ones pocket, taking advantage of ones position, and other 'minor indiscretions'.
