Spitting image anyone?

Are they right in trying to bring spitting image back?

Amy, Pete and the princes get a Spitting Image makeover for Rory Bremner show | the Daily Mail

Its not going to be the same - these are all cgi - not latex. Why try to muck about with something that was brilliant in its heyday. My memories of this was making sure i was in the house for 10pm on sunday nights or if i knew i wasnt going to be back in time the video was set. If i had to i used to ring my sis to video it for me if i was stuck somewhere and wouldnt get home till after it had started. I loved it.

Ok its going to be called headcases this one - but i dont know if it is right they are doing this. Spitting image at that time was right but now im not sure. Will have to watch it and see.

I used to love Spitting Image, that doesn't look as good to me but if the scripts are good it still might be funny.

Oooh, I loved Spitting Image and used to love the songs, which were so politically incorrect. The South African song was a cracker...:D

I'd love to see them bring it back but I don't think it would be as good or as cutting as the original.

I often think its a mistake to turn the clock back and recapture yesterday, no matter what they do it will never come up to the old Spitting Image ethos

I loved Spitting Image and would never miss it, but I have mixed feelings about the new one. For those of us who remember the original, it'll probably never be quite as good.

But anything which makes fun of politicians and other public figures is fine by me. It's also worth remembering that there are many countries in the world - China, Cuba, Zimbabwe, most of the Arab states - where you couldn't even consider airing a programme like this. And, for that reason, I'm all in favour of it...but I'll miss "grey" John Major, spitting Roy Hattersley and the rest of the gang! :D
