Flu Jab

One year i get an invite to go down to the surgery for it,the next year i don't.When i ask why i'm not legible for it they read from a long list of ailments & tell me mine are'nt on it so no jab.:(Do surgeries shift the goalposts every year or has a very large batch been shifted out to the supermarkets so we can pay a tenner for it:rolleyes:I just don't understand why one year i can have it then the next year i can't.
Does anyone know of any chemists/supermarkets where i can get it?

My mother in law is undergoing treatment for cancer and was told by the `wonderful` Peel House (different building, same shambles (TM)) that she was`nt eligable............believe me after the fuss we made she was.!!!!!! i usually have it(asthma) but after they decided to balls up my appointment (long story) i`m not bothering this year but to be honest every year since i`ve had it i`ve had some real winter illnesses.....!!!

What qualified you to have it the other year, that means you can't have it now?

I have the flu jab, because the doctor recommends it for Parkinson's. The surgery never calls, you just have to remember to make an appointment as soon as it starts getting colder...which was about June this year.:D

everyone is entitled to the flu and pneumonia jab especially if you are over 60 or have chest problems i would and go to the doctors and speak to the doctor or the nurse if you have one at the surgery because those receptionist think they ard doctors dont stand any messing get on with it

No idea.My ailments are the same. But 2 years out of the last 4 i've recieved a letter from Peel House asking me to go for the flu jab. When i enquired my ailments were'nt on the receptionists list this year.I'm not over 65 or seriously ill but i'm just curius as to why one year i qualify, the next year i do'nt.

My docs messed up this year and are making my 8 year old have two flu jabs... he had one last Thursday and has to go back next month for a second. When I asked why the nurse said it's because everyone needs two jabs when they first have the flu jab, only my son has been having his for the past 3 years now but because they never gave him the two when he first had it he as to have them now. Oh well I guess it's best for him. Only problem is he is petrified of needles.

I get it because I was diagnosed with Asthma recently but my work actually pay for anyone who wants it to have it. They even get them done on site in work hours so its no hassle.
