Have 2 comments on this one which cannot be posted n the other being that he didn't volunteer to go to the Middle East his boss sent him (GWB) to make it look good. As for the medal he has done in my eyes ****** all to deserve it. Must be for supporting and providing troops for the war in Iraq as that was meant for their freedom.

I'd think more of him SPUGS if he was in Iraq carrying a gun and wearing a flak jacket, helping the troops, he sent there.

Pull back to their original 1948 borders , and return all stolen and occupied lands .

It will not matter which border they pull back to - the attacks will continue. And please, get off the "stolen" and "occupied" lands bit. Jews have lived in this area since before the time of Christ. Had it not been for the great diaspora during the Roman conquest of Judea, the Israelites would have remained en masse. They have every right to be there and to protect their citizens - notwithstanding the constant whining from Western diplomats and the press. I hope the Israelis kick some serious Hamas butt.

Re. the Diaspora, guess the early Zionists had never heard the of the old saying " you can never go home again" using your logic would mean that you and me would be back in Lancashire and only the descendants of the native tribes would live in what we now call North America. One curious fact which the mainstream press is ignoring (and we all know who owns the press) is the fact that the missiles that the Palestinians are firing are coming down on the occupied territories, not one has landed within Israels 1948 borders . Fact, Israel is a theocracy first and a democracy second, no different than Iran , just a different religion . one enshrined in its constitution , no freedom of religon like we have , did you know it is a crime to import Bibles and proselytize in Israel (No Mormon or JW missionaries allowed) maybe if the jews of the Diaspora had spent a little more time assimilating into their local communities (When in Rome) instead of just living separate alongside them, there would be none of the present day problems.

Oh, please. When have you heard the mainstream press say anything positive about Israel? The stated goal of Hamas, Hezbollah, Fatah, et al, is to drive Israelis into the sea. As far as they are concerned, Israel should cease to exist. If the rockets haven't landed inside the 1948 borders, it's because they don't yet have a missile that will travel that far.....although I am sure Iran will help them with this.

The Israeli Constitution recognizes all religions and everyone is free to practice their faith. Whilst the Christian community is still a minority, it has grown considerably since 1948. In some towns there have been incidents where Christians have attempted to proselytize - and this has not gone over well. I can certainly understand that. But such things are resolved at the local level. Likewise, Muslims follow the dictates of their religion. All may run for political office and many have served in the Knesset.

I think in years to come history will be favourable towards Tony Blair.
I agree he has made many mistakes but he also has made some good
achievements,a person who makes no mistakes does nothing,a person who makes many mistakes does many things.I think Tony Blair genuinely tried to help make the world a much safer place for us all. If many of those intelligence reports were correct at the time what else could a morally conscientious world leader be expected to do. It`s very easy after events to criticise a person for mistakes but I believe he genuinely thought we were all in great danger and acted accordingly.

What else could a morally conscientious world leader be expected to do, just exactly what George W. told him to do:gooddog:

Just been watching the increasingly disorderly anti-Israeli demos in London and Edinburgh with a growing sense of annoyance. Funny, isn't it, how these people are highly selective about the injustices they demonstrate against? Why do they never protest against Mugabwe's murderous policies in Zimbabwe?...or the Chinese occupation of Tibet?...or the daily misery inflicted on the people of North Korea?...or the Taliban throwing acid in girls' faces in Afghanistan for daring to want an education? But, of course, they're not "fashionable causes", are they?

Or could he possibly have been playing down his good management by being modest during his engagement,no one likes a blower ;)

The master piroetter of politics. He could put enough spin on a disaster to show that there is a really good reason for it.
