accrington shops

Went to town today first time in over a week and i noticed one more shop gone into administration which is the jewellery shop on broadway, and walking along abbey street that very expensive furniture shop is closing down, looks bleak for jjb sports and a new charity shop has opened on little blackburn road. hurrah for charity shops:)

Re: accrington shops

Re: accrington shops

All accrington has now are pound shops, glasses shops and mobile phone shops! no wonder people go shopping away from accrington. its depressing walking through accrington to go work the towns always quiet which means its going to be a quiet day at work.

Re: accrington shops

believe it or not but this summer 80's fashion is all the rage, i mean big time. look in the windows next time your down blackburn, at my age its my childhood coming back to haunt me!
i remember i had this awful black and purple knitted sweater dress with two huge swans on the front with a belt and i couldnt believe it but i actually saw the same dress in river island and almost wet myself laughing. its actually haunting me with memories. (although as a little girl i actually did love that dress) what was i thinking??

Hey, dont knock customising, was doing it when I was 16 and still do it now..nowt like putting your own stamp on somat! even when you are an old fogey like me :);)

Re: accrington shops

there is no such things as old fogeys!!! just very young people in the wrong body!! i agree with customising but this was done bless his cotton socks by an 8 year old boy at the time and was done pretty badly, but he liked and got away with it. now fortunatley for him he does have a job earning decent money and is able to buy the real mccoy!!!
