Re: Renovations to Accrington Market Hall.
I know no-one did Willow -that's my point. Ms Hesmondailgh painted a very sad picture of us Accy folk I'm afraid. It kind of reminded me of the movie Groundhog Day where the townspeople gather around to see the groundhog come out of his home!
I will vehemently oppose any campaign to reinstall this monstrosity! Sorry, but to me it is only comparable to an evil Terry's chocolate orange. |
Re: Renovations to Accrington Market Hall.
rofl at the description "evil chocolate orange". I can see the resemblance but now you've made me want it back even more. :s_jplol: :s_lol:

Thats the problem with these media folks. Instead of just "Acting" or reporting the news they somehow believe they have a god-given right to pronounce on any political, moral or economic issue they see fit, on the basis that they know better than the rest of us poor b*ggars. Unfortunatly, their friend in the same media then report this as being gospel truth. Personally, I think it is disgraceful that we should make a song-and-dance about the fact that this third-rate actress who plays some weirdo transvestite in what was once a good TV soap should come from Accy; O.K.; she's made it big in Granadaland, but if she wishes to lampoon her own people thn I suggest we stick a big sign on the Borough boundary, saying "Sod Off, Hesmondhailgh - you're not welcome any more". |
