You don't have to let us know. I will tell you now. You will be barred for life. No landlord is going to risk a ten grand fine because of snotty little trouble makers like you.

Well, I am also a smoker and I also like a pint but unlike you I am a man and not a wimp and a little spot of rain is no barrier to enjoying the occaisional snout outside the pub's door. I would naturally prefer to smoke inside, but all things pass and the law now says that we can't do that and unlike some, I abide by the law. Many years ago public bars within pubs contained recepticles called spitoons into which seasoned smokers and 'baccy chewers would aim their lethal cocktail of flem, tobacco juice and tuberculosis bits. Their aim was not always accurate and for health reasons this facility was withdrawn from pubs. You, no doubt would like to see their return.

Instead of making idle threats, why don't you just tell us what happened when you lit up?

Re: next time.

i would rather not break the law and smoke outside .. that way then the landlord/landlady wouldnt get a big fine and possibly put them out of business. To me its a case of i want so i shall do .. with no thought for anyone else.

This... is interesting.

I had the same initial thought as tealeaf...

but then I thought about speeding... how many people drive above the speed limit and get away with it. Although those who stick to the limit don't necessarily like it, they don't start reporting it do they. I've never heard of a person reporting it anyway....

So I guess that I would actually be interested to know what people do, just from a social perspective if not from a legal one...

I'd probably grass you up to be honest but I am spiteful and enjoy spoiling fun that is against the rules. Think it comes from being on the disciplinary committee at uni haha.
