Gosling cooks his goose

Many of you will recall Mr Ray Gosling, a blunt northern commentator who regularly appeared on our TV screens back in the '70's and '80s. Invariably dressed in a dirty old white raincoat, he gave the appearance of a somewhat inept flasher; nevertheless, he managed to convey a certain outrage about what he considered to be the social and economic injustices of the time and as such was raised to what is now termed 'Celeb' status. It seems though, that his moral stance did not extend to his own private affairs as he has now stated he murdered one of his homosexual partners

While this confession was made in the full glare of his preferred medium - the TV camera - he is at this moment in time, refusing to elaborate on his actions while in the process of assisting Nottingham Constabulary in their enquiries. It would appear to me therefore, that he either committed this act - in which case he fully co-operate in the due process of law - or he should retract his confession. If it is the latter, he should now be charged with wasting police time. If it is the former, then why bother about the confession in the first instance? If you are going to do a so-called mercy killing, then do it fast, do it cleanly and if you're really clever, then leave an Israeli passport on the scene.

Ray Gosling!

I do not mean to be unkind but I watched a program he made quite some time ago, I think about being bankrupt, it struck me at that time that he was a man desperate for ‘Air time’, could this be the same thing?

Yes he was moaning about the tax man while living on benefits, having said that he wasn't a bad presenter, if the boyfriend was cremated they'll struggle

Aye, I agree....I suppose if he had had 44" inplants in his man-boobs and changed his name to Katie Price-Jordon and then wrote his fourth autobigraphy in the same number of years, then he would not have to go to all this trouble to get his name in the headlines again

Since he is bankrupt he may well be not flinching at the prospect of prison.
It would likely be an open prison
- more like a holiday camp
- 3 meals a day and Sky TV
- the company of ladies won't be missed either
- ideal retirement home for him
