Your quote of mine referred to any child being kept safe.

There are plenty of other threads if you wish to discuss Madeline McCann, if you'd care to take the time to search for them.

genuine mistake I clicked onto the wrong box.Yes CCTV has some valid points in the right place, but equally there are also negative sides to it & for the numbers of CCTV cameras in UK their siting can seem to be more about control than safety.

The only people that CCTV cameras in town centers are useful to are the police.

THey are the only ones that get the pictures & can do something with them.

If you are in need of the video etc, perhaps because you have been wronged somehow then you do not get a look in at all.

Does 'wronged somehow' equate to a crime?

If not, of course film shouldn't be made available, and released to every Tom, Dick and Harry who requests to watch it.

However if a crime has been committed, the police will have CCTV film at their disposal, in the event of it containing any useful evidence.

Sadly this 'story' features on the front page of this weekend's Observer, with poor Bob Patefield painted as the innocent victim, arrested in the police state that is also known as Accrington town centre.

So much for investigative journalism.

The innocent victim story has been well and truly buried, without the need for us all to appear in court.

Will you be pointing that out to them in one of your infamous letters?

Two, twenty odd years apart, hardly makes them infamous.

No, by the time they go to print, some news is old news.

;)

Have you been called as a witness?

What are you going to wear?

Have you got a date for the trial?

Depending on when it is, season wise, will depend if you should wear a hat.

Let's talk colours.

:D

Not me - she does not report my phone calls :D

It was the same bloke who phoned here a few times. Police actually caught him in a phone box in the middle of an abusive call. There is a thread about it somewhere.
