ASDA Staff

Picked up a pack of Gluten Free bread products in ASDA today - best by date of 11.01.11 - big patch of green mold on them:eek:
Handed them to a young lady on the staff and when i told her about the mold she tried to hand them back and said "It is not my Department".
I refused them, but in afterthought I should have bought them and then asked a Manager what they were prepared to do about them - I will the next time it happens.
But the attitude of the young lady(?)??????

Asda has gone really downhill in the past few months, stock levels have been poor with massive gaps on the shelves. Can't say we've had a problem with the staff but you would think with Tesco opening next week they would be spot on with stock and customer service

When you move back to the UK permanently Barrie, Little Pom will be able to get bread on prescription from the doctors plus other things like pasta flour etc. I can't remember Joan ever using ASDA for things like Gluten free bread, but more and more supermarkets are now catering for the needs of coeliac, far more than there was 20 years go when Joan was first diagnosed

Barrie......I would contact the main customer service Dept and tell them of your problems.

They are usually very helpful.
Asda Customer Services
That link gives you a telephone number.

Re: ASDA Staff

I bought a boneless pork leg joint from Asda.
When I got it home it was a leg muscle with just a piece of rind tied on with string......I was not a happy bunny. I wanted pork without any fiddle faddling......I wanted some natural fat to give the pork some moisture and taste......it did not come up to my requirements....and worst of all, there was nothing on the label to indicate that the fat fascists had been at my joint.
I contacted Asda......they told me to take the product label back to my local store where I would receive a no quibble full refund.......and I did. £6.75 went right in the back pocket.
We did eat the pork, but I can't say I would recommend it.

Re: ASDA Staff

I stopped buying from Asda a year ago when they sent me a putrid smelling rotting chicken.

Home deliveries are from the store at Clayton le Dale, so the practice of selling inedible produce is not just local to Accy Asda

No he isn't - my cousin in Wales is coeliac and has told me of the NHS provision of gluten free bread and/or flour

I live in Great Harwood and as far as I know home deliveries here are from the Rawtenstall store, or at least an 01706 number, they once had to call to say my delivery was going to be late.

Tesco deliver from Rawtenstall - maybe Asda does too nowadays - it was a year ago that I got the rotting chicken from Clayton le Dale
