Re: The Tories
You missed out 'No food', 'No Work'.........and worst of all, 'No Help'.
Human rights? You didn't have any. After Ma did a lot of wrangling, we did eventually get free school dinners(now to some that would be punishment, but at least it mean we ate one good meal five days a week). |

Re: The Tories
Labour isn't being blamed for the worldwide recession.
It is being blamed for selling of our gold at a ridiculously low price, for allowing uncontrolled immigration in the hope to garner votes, for alowing the banking crisis to continue for 7 months before letting on anything was wrong, for encouraging a benefits culture that could not be sustained, for selling pensioners down the river, for taking us into a costly and illegal war because someone told blatant lies about Sadams capabilities. Not tackling crime, but changing the way statistics were collected and collated so that it looked like crime had fallen. Giving away the rebate that M. Thatcher managed to getback from the EU for absolutely nothing in exchange. There you are, chew them over ....just a few reasons to blame the last government. Hope they are enough for you to be going on with. |

More than a million people on incapacity benefit never returned to work under Labour, new figures show. According to the latest figures £346 billion has been paid to the unemployed since Labour came to power in 1997. Million on incapacity benefit never returned to work under Labour - Telegraph Least we understand these admittedly shocking figures. Was harder before. When people were able to choose a life funded by the state, rather than the poorer paid option of working for a living. Which we when we had consecutive Labour governments. |
Re: The Tories
Main concern is the over a million 16-24yrs old out of work.. in the past some posters have said our young people are in some sort of welfare state luxury land..they can't even claim dole until 18 ..but just wondering what percentage of our young unemployed who leave school are thinking they want to earn a living or just do nowt ?..I'd say 99% want to earn a living ...and yes I do blame this government for doing nothing to give our youngters a kick start..maybe we have to spend money for the future.
