Perhaps if you had kept quiet 18,000 might still be working, but as we know the powers that be hang on your every word, so if Stanley Jock say's things are bad, things must be bad.
We'd better throw out a few more workers!

You fool yourself, you've never been right yet, until you accept that this country was left in a hell of a mess by your bosom buddy Gordon and his little Darling, then anything you post on here is futile, you only started post on politics after May 6th 2010, so obviously you were quite happy to cheer Gordon on while he was pouring the British economy down the toilet, more shame on you

Err...just one problem with this, Cmon...the South West Water Authority was a state owned utility when the poisoning happened.

Have another go.

Re: The Tories

yes and they kept quiet because it was getting privatised the next year .just look at the local tory mp who promised and never delivered.if they werent concentrating and spending millions selling it off and trying to cover it up.they were told not to tell the public because of the ensuing privatised company.

Re: The Tories

Camelford water pollution incident - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia more than one person mentioned it was a cover up because they didnt want to hinder the authority getting privatised.

I suspect they kept quiet because he management was unaware of the scale of the problem or they were trying to avoid a charge of criminal negligence thrown against them. The fact remains that this company was in the public sector at the time and that is something that you cannot deny.
