And where will these new homeless sleep?..not sure how it goes in Germany but this is how it will work here.. they will either live on the streets or be moved into expensive "bed and breakfast" and specially in the large cities.. saving money? the people claiming housing benefits in this country are not the ones living in luxury.. it's the private landlords who will reap those benefits.;)

It's guaranteed then is it ? That all those receiving support will in one stroke end up on the street ? Seems a little drastic to say the least, no I can't see that happening somehow.

I'd agree with you on the private landlords issue, some are taking the pish to put it mildly, but then there are others who are playing it straight. I'd say that the responsibility lies with the agencies paying out, they need to look again & get a grip where required.

Aw come one.. it's a pretty sure thing that some of those who loose housing benifit will end up on the streets.. and like I said those who don't will have to be housed in private bedsits or likely bed and breakfast "hotels" owend by private landlords and paid for by the taxpayer..I'm not sure which way you are looking at this but to me it does not work out as any way of saving money.. it's just an idealogy of the Tories.

No it shouldn't be allowed to carry on but neither should it be withdrawn, putting more people on the dole, something that Dumb and Dumber would love so they can carry on their tirade against the government, its a poor state of affairs when people are jumping through hoops doing hands stands a cheering when people lose their jobs, most of which was caused by their useless mates in the first place, just so they can gloat, now that really is the pits:mad:

And you actually think that it wouldn't have gone up if Labour had a won the election, we would have ended up with 7, 8 maybe 9 million unemployed if they'd have been allowed to carry on spending, or should I say borrowing and spending like they do, Labour have always preceded of disastrous economic management, they don't to economics and if you can't get that right you can't get anything right, clown

The biggest increase in U.K. unemployment, happened between 2007 and 2009.

When we had a Labour government.

Here's a pretty little graph for you to look at, which clearly illustrates this.

Well, it does to those not wearing blinkers.

BBC News - Unemployment in graphics
