Spray Tan From Hell!

My daughter had bought a lovely new yellow chiffon dress for her sister's wedding and planned wearing it with strappy sandals. She'd booked a manicure and a pedicure for a few days before and thought a nice spray tan would look great against the yellow dress and the tan leather sandals.

She booked in to the new "Beauty Sanctuary" above the Hospice Charity shop on Abbey Street.

The spray tan was terrible! All streaky with huge white areas that were not even touched and other areas that were far too dark, including the palms of her hands!

Went back to complain this morning and was told there was nothing wrong with it, elbows are apparently supposed to be white and the streaky parts look natural! The girl who did it was very defensive and the one in charge said it isn't their policy to offer a refund. I was disgusted with their attitude. They didn't seem to see why she wasn't happy with it!

Daughter and I went down to Angela Kay's in Warner Street and Hayley there did a brilliant job of blending in the unsprayed parts and making my daughter look human again.

She should have put cream on her hands before spraying her

It's worse than that - she made a runny mess on her shoulders and told her to smooth it out with her hands and then didn't give her anything to wipe her hnds with. How ludicrous is that?

Rubbish.

They don't know what they're doing.

Anyone who did know what they were doing would never spray the palms of someone's hands.

Nor would someone with the slightest skill in spray tanning, leave someone streaky.

Any body that wants to look that colour should be dunked in creosote, and on some it would be an improvement.
One for the old sayings, you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

Have you been on what Tealeaf takes?
This young woman wanted to look her best........because when you look good, you feel good. It was for a 'special' occasion too.
A spray tan went wrong.....and you make unkind comments about creosote. Shame on you!

Thank You Lancsdave.
I'm not being picky, but young lasses like to look good.....they don't expect to have their efforts slated.

Why shouldn't they expect a good service.
It may have stopped some other young woman from making the mistake of trusting this salon. They obviously failed to do a good job, and then failed to make good their shoddy work.
The young lady should have had the tan made good, and also had a full refund.
