Which character would you be.
 

It's Christmas...the Panto season.
Next Saturday we are going to see Dick Whittington at KGH.
I am looking forward to it...being such an overgrown tinlid myself.
I whoop, I shout, I boo and hiss....and generally enter into the spirit of the Panto.
This got me thinking....if you were a panto character which one would you be....and why?

I would be Aladdins mother - she is a washer woman isn't she?
Well, I have the washday red hands that all good washer women have.

Well I mentioned in my comment on your blog that I was usually the wicked witch when I did amateur dramatics. Typecasting... no rehearsal or acting required! mind you I also played Dorcas Lane when we did Lark Rise to Candleford... that was a bit more difficult... and a White Hole when we did a space-themed panto.

I could be an ugly sister...I have my own in built bustle...but they would have to find me some stick on warts.

I'd be the fairy godmother, they usually cast you as opposites to what you really are.....right????

I'll grab that part. Always wanted to do the wicked witch, got tired of playing the goody Principal Boy about 10 times.

Gotta be Buttons ... My mom took me to the Hippodrome in '49 to see "Cinderella" ... I remember that she then took me to my grandad's place and I told him all about the show; esp. how I got to go onto the stage and stand next to Buttons ... my grandad died that night. Years later my mom told me she believed that he held on to life so that I could tell him about the show. He knew how I excited I was about going. Maybe ... maybe not; but I love to believe it.

And there's always room in any production for more than one wicked witch.

Forgot to mention earlier that I've also played a tea bag in my diverse acting career - now that really was type casting!
