Earthquake
 

Reported in this morning's national newspaper that an earthquake of 2.2 magnitude hit an area 5.5 miles southeast of Blackburn at a depth of 4.3 miles at 2.33PM Saturday.This puts it near Oswaldtwistle Moor.Anyone feel the Earth move?

I have got the map ref - 53.679n 2.404w (from an earthquake report site)

In google earth it shows it to be in the middle of moorland south east of Darwen.

It will be one of MaggieR's mates fracking about, she'll be posting any time soon with a link to tell us we are all doomed.

A 2.2 is so miniscule that it doesnt show on the world earthquake map.

I have noticed that low rate quake clusters do get reported, maybe because they sometimes are a prelude to one bigger.

4.3 miles under Ossy ? Ossy is bad enough on the surface, so far down really would have been the pits :)

It was caused by the sound of thousands Rovers fans leaving the Riverside Stand in order to beat the traffic, 27mins before kick off.
