Argentina- 'To compete on English soil-'
'-we train on Argentine soil'.
Shown on BBC news tonight. It's hard to believe that the President of Argentina would buy and broadcast propaganda as offensive as this- an Olympic athlete training by jogging up and down the steps of a British war memorial, filmed in secret in the Falklands. I think this athlete should be banned from entering the UK, in fact banning the whole Argentinian team should be considered. |

We should rise above it. After all they want us to be outraged.
I was astounded when I saw it this morning, but during the day, I realised it is nothing more than baiting. They have a very small armed forces so they use this to bring the fight to us. Pathetic really |

If it wasn't for the jogging on the memorial it's quite a clever and funny bit of propaganda. That just spoils it and wasn't necessary. Makes you wonder if they realised it was a memorial.

Admittedly it's sly & underhand, pretty much like the invasion back in 1982, but at the end of the day he's running (away presumably) & all the iconic images are reminders of the Islands Britishness.
A cheap shot from a bunch of chancers, who know what'll happen if they push it to far. |

What am I saying here? There will probably be so much disorganisation that they won't need to make them wait....it will all be part of fiasco anyway. I can't wait for the whole thing to be over with! |
