You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs as they say.

Feel reassured knowing that the new junction will be much better than the old one

Oh, what the hey, it's a complaint.

How do you seem to think it will be better? Are you in some sort of inner circle of volunteers? Why, though you groan about a lack of volunteers do you never point us towards a project we could volunteer for?

Do we need to be picked as a certain type before we are allowed to volunteer?

Surely if it's true volunteers there would be a web site, perhaps called AccyWeb or My volunteers.com where hard work without pay could be advertised.

The way it was for Councillors, all volunteers then all of a sudden pay them and let them find volunteers to do the real work?

It was sarcasm, we'll have to decide if it's better when it's finished.

I've only just noticed these comments had been tagged onto an old thread about a roundabout so I've moved them to their own thread.

Extra lanes are bound to help with traffic flow, I think they are also setting back the bus stop which should help as well, I wish they'd have done it a few years ago though when they were working on that junction then.

45 minutes from the roundabout at Junction 7 to the Dill Hall lights today at around 2 pm.

Got to the lights and saw two workmen having a chat to another in a stationary road roller....

Do they really want people to have access to Accrington?

Then again when we have Labour County Councillors fired for non-attendance or prodded awake to say 'aye' or 'nay' is it any wonder that the rest of them don't care?
