Keeping cool.

We should not really complain about the hot weather….but it does make sleeping a bit difficult.
So how do you keep your cool?

For me my favourite ways of staying cool.
1) cotton sheets.
2) tepid shower leave skin damp.
3) Damp socks.
4) a cold water bottle under your knees
5) keep blinds drawn in bedroom during the day

So what are your ways to stay chilled.

Fan when not to extreme, but when extreme, the mobile A/C unit, absolute top buy, set up in the guest room & blows down the corridor past bathroom & gently breezes into the main Bedroom, marvellous. :)

Re: Keeping cool.

An ordinary fan that has bottles of iced water behind it cools well too because the air around the bottles is cool….when the ambient air is warm then a fan just moves around the warm air.
For us here in the uk an air conditioning unit is uneconomical.
Isn’t it a shame that we cannot save this heat to warm our homes when the electric prices go up?

Do not watch or listen to any main stream media outlets and their apocalyptic hype.

Much against my instincts, I’m listening to the doom-laden news on Radio 4 about “unprecedented”, “dangerous”, “life-threatening to healthy people as well” temperatures early next week.
They’re interviewing some muppet from the Met Office who is telling us her computer models (junk in - junk out) tell us it’s the end of the world.

Here are two ‘forecasts’ for temperatures on the Lancashire coast, one from the Bullsh*t Broadcast Corporation, the other from the Met Office.
This appears to me to be lovely, comfortable summer days of high 60s degrees, interrupted by three very hot (for the UK) days.
As someone said, when the sun shines the snowflakes melt.

Just been playing a game with the weather forecasts.
After all the MSM hype about temperatures, I put in different southern towns just to see how many were going to ‘suffer’ these apocalyptic temperatures of 40 degrees.
So far there has been only one.
No prizes for guessing which.

Are we surprised…?

About one half of all land surface temperature measurements used to show global warming and promote the command-and-control Net Zero agenda are taken near or adjacent to airport runways.

This is the article from which the above quote comes.
